You still compare DAW with hardware samplers ... no comparison at all , always 10 years outdated !
I repeat , there is no sata port comunication in this Arm architecture, so streaming can be only with board Ram ...
mSD , HD and USB devices are only for files storage !

Belive me, I tried in several ways, but the result is not as expected. PA4 can't do more than that. Time portamento on PA4, at small values is unnatural.

Is it true that the korgpa5x nolonger supports its own internal fully featured sequencer ?????

If that’s true then I could not buy it even if it sounded better than what I already own . Where is the sense in taking away essential workstation features ?

Says the following on KORG's website.

"You can record a MIDI Song using a full-featured Sequencer."

Are you sure sharp ? I have down loaded the new manual . It makes reference to the pa5x having a “chord sequencer “. I cannot find any reference or description of any other sequencer function in the manual . Can you identify any reference other than editing styles ?

I can only verify that I copied that text directly from the pa5X webpage at KORG.COM

Hi.
Sorry for my ignorance, but does anyone know if PA5X has implemented midi to style converter?
Can not find anything about it in the documents available on Korg's website.

It's written in front page , that Advanced Edit manual has not been released yet , even new Pa5X owners do not have the complete
functions before a complete OS with this manual will be released , be patient and read only stated specs of front page.

I have ordered a pa5x and will be delivered in couple of days, i just wanted to ask that, is it better to buy now or should i wait for another batch or lot? does it makes any difference as you said that initial batch is made for testing purposes. Is there any hardware difference in the current batch vs. upcoming batch? Right now i am having pa4x

Definitely not , otherwise they would not distribute even a single part at customers !
If you like to experience the new factory resources just order it , but bear in mind that some time is needed to be
fully functional , and the only difference will be the future loading of the proper & full functional OS !
This is not a beta release , ask KorgPa for main reason to release it now ...

Thanks for reply, i have pa4x since it was released, is there any difference in sound quality like more punchy output and clarity compare to 4x, also i was wishing that the new 5x come with more synth and pad sounds and some exciting filters and arpeggiators, but couldn't seen any new synths, pads in any of the available videos so far.

As I wrote in another topic and also can be seen at front page :

Pa5X differs in sound clarity and stereo image when 8 full tracks are playing in a style ! This is not an ordinary Pa sounding arranger anymore !
DNC2 engine is still the same only a send controller has been added , so at this level DNC2 engine is the same (where round robin could be
applied even in Sound interface of Pa4X) , but stereo OSC with 24 independent filters , almost double the ability to create more complex
sounds with articulation in advanced sound modeling with custom samples !

Hardware changes are not significant between Pa4X & Pa5X , The same 24b DAC , faster Arm processor motherboard with triple on board
Nand-Ram , some extra controllers like PADS and USB 3 communication protocol interface for media storage devices.
Its all about new added sample resources , software code & programming that can make the difference between them and every implementation
of missing or new added features will be exclusively based on final stable Pa5X OS version , nothing to do with Pa5X hardware.

The 30.060 samples positions are they for mono or stereo samples ?
The 160 notes polyphony are they mono or stereo ?
Is there a lossy or a lossless sample compression algorithm ?
Is it possible to assign the portamento time to the velocity ?
