Korg pa5x is very expensive right now, I hope device manufacturers read these lines and reduce the price to lower levels.

Both Rosanna Pop and Get Lucky are on the Pa4x and probably part of Bonusware.

Yes welcome Adam - but I do have a question for you.

During the previous webinar there was mention of upcoming Pa5X webinars. I believe you may have said Luke was going to show us how he managed to Save a Sound / Sample to the Matrix Pads.

This is something not in the manual, but I have experimented quite a bit with it based on Lukes (supposed) success.

Hope to hear of an upcoming seminar, and do hope he can demonstrate this.

I tried a lot too without success.
There is a chance that the keyboard was running a beta OS and was able to do it at that point and later figured it out that it wasn't for everybody yet.

Well if you couldn't do it... :D :P :D

I do feel certain I was close, I can easily change existing sounds, and could get close to assigning a new sound from DRIVEs - but just couldn't get it to recognize WAVs or MP3s in USER DRIVES. I am thinking it has to do with how and where we save the sample, but unfortunately I never found a working combination.

I do think this can be done however, and was looking forward to a Depeche Mode(esque) setup on the Pa5X :D

Let me know if you have any ideas

I just wrote that I tried the same thing you tried and failed as you did too.
Currently on 1.0.0 i don't think it is possible , or we are both overlooking something big...

The only thing working right now, is to make it a single shot pad (so you have to import it as a normal wav sample and not mp3) which works but it is not what it should be...

The matrix pads are supposed to do more things in the future as far as i know (apart from the audio playback we are discussing here).

If you hadn't thought of making a pad with a single note and one shot , try it , it should work as it has factory ones like that.
I want to be able to play drums/percussion though with these matrix pads as you can do on an MPC and even on the old roland FANTOMs that had pads!

Just so there was no misunderstanding - I was only joking when I said if you couldn't do it... I meant, you have much more experience than I, so if you couldn't do it - it likely can't be done. Hope I didn't offend with my comment.

I haven't been able to make this work either - I tried to sample a small section (about 10 seconds) and wanted to utilize a Matrix Pad to trigger the sample. I did create it as a WAV - but when I get to assigning it to a Matix Pad and Select DRIVES it doesn't recognize any files (no files are shown - yet they are there)

When you say "one shot" I assume this means single play, as opposed to loop? Or is my 10 second clip to long?

No problem! I just wanted to clarify too and that is why i mentioned it again!

Now about the one shot, you have to go to sample record , import the sample, save it , make a multisample and assign it to a sound (or make a drumkit) , then create a new pad, use that sound, and trigger the key that you put the sample on !
