Mixing and Mastering on the Korg D3200

Hi, all! I'm confused with regard to mixing and mastering, in particular, how do I save my recorded tracks for different mixes in the future. It seems that on some songs, that when I have mastered to CD, that’s it! That’s the mix, end of story. No more remixing. What am I doing wrong? Once I am done recording/tracking a song, how do I save my tracks (and where) so that I can mix and master them however many times I want? Obviously, coming from an analog background, I have some things to learn. This particular issue has been a real head scratcher. Thanks for any help,

Not familiar with the D3200 specifically, but the process of creating a Master track should not remove the individual recorded channels. Try pressing the Song key and doing +/-. It should be possible to scroll through the demo songs and any songs you have recorded. Press Rec/Play and ensure that tracks 1 to 16 are set to play (lit green). If the key above the Mater fader is lit, press it until it goes dark. Now, hopefully, pressing Play will give the desired result.

Thank you for your replay. I'm wondering if I need to back up and save the raw tracks on the clipboard or anywhere else before I make a master in order to have the tracks to do different mixes later on.

Your Original tracks are still present in your song data. You have only Copied your MASTER Tracks (Stereo) to the Output Drive or CD. To re-record or remaster, simply use the SONG File you originally created. Always back these up for use later. Remember you have your Virtual Tracks for different Mix Variations as well.
