There seems to be a long waiting list in the UK for the Pa5x 88 but I have been offered one which is just a few days old. The owner bought new from a Korg dealer but decided he didn't like it.
He has offered me a good discount on what he paid but he has already registered for the five year warranty. I understand that warranties are not transferrable, so I would be buying a new keyboard with no warranty.
I don't know what the reliability of Korg keyboards is. I've owned several other brand keyboards and never had any problems, but Korg is new to me.
I'm faced with a choice of buying with a good discount and no warranty or waiting several months for a new dealer supplied one.
Any thoughts or advice?
Pa5x without warranty.

Personally, I would not buy without warranty at this time - this is a brand new product.
If it was a PA4x, then I wouldn't be concerned.
These are just my thoughts.

Re: Pa5x without warranty.
I believe that the extended 5 year one will not be transferred but the original 1 year manufacturer one has to be applicable with the receipt of purchase (at least that is how it works here).Foxtrotter wrote:There seems to be a long waiting list in the UK for the Pa5x 88 but I have been offered one which is just a few days old. If it really is without warranty , i would get it only if the price is at least 30% off from new to cover anything that could happen to it.

If you still want it, ask the owner if he is prepared to honour the warranty on your behalf as if he still owns it.
