Factory settings

Post by Minou »

Hello,
When you restore the Kronos to factory settings does it delete the user files from the HDD?
Thank you,

If you refer to the restore procedure with the Korg DVD disks, it will only wipe what is in the factory folder, so all the other files will remain on the Kronos SSD.

If needed you can also manually delete them in Disk mode and/or delete all non-factory libraries in the Options Info tab in Global mode.

You're welcome. 8)

In any case, never trust the theory 100% and do regular backups of your Kronos (Save All and so on). This way, if anything goes wrong during a procedure, you can always revert to what you had before.

I am super glad I read this thread. I will be attempting a factory reset of my Kronos-x.
My brother gave it to me but it did NOT come with any DVD's.

How do I get these DVD's?
Is there a place I can download and create my own?
There IS a factory folder on my kronosHDD, as well as a factoryV2 folder.

Thank you!!

If you don't have the dvd, you can try the download section of the Korg site.
Unfortunately their links are broken!
Anyone from Korg reading this topic can fix it?
You can ask support to fix the broken download too?

The site is not down, or broken, it just takes quite a while to load.
Please check though if the Kronos version is the correct one in my links below:
