Wavestate native sustain pedal/cc does not work at all?

Post by pmumble »

Regardless of whether I run wavestate native in standalone mode or in Live, the sustain pedal does not function. I can even watch CC64 being sent using a midi monitor and it does not respond.

None of my other synths have this issue. If I route the same MIDI coming from my controller sustain pedal to any other synth, the sustain pedal works. Just not for wavestate native.

Does the wavestate just not have sustain pedal functionality? Is the hardware model any different?

I've seen this posted elsewhere.. But you need to send the value 127 to Wavestate native in order for it to register the sustain on continuous controller 64. It's a bug, as the MIDI spec states that 64 and up should be interpreted as On. Anyway, though it may be a bug, it is easy enough to avoid, by sending 127 to cc64 for sustain On. That works...

Hey thanks for the reply. That's right. You might have seen me ask the question and then answer it for myself on the Gearspace forums. I forgot to update this thread.
