I seem to remember that Australia Korg pricing was higher relative to other areas of the world. Is that true or am I mistaking? Maybe some proper adjustment is happening.karmathanever wrote:Locally, the Pa5x-76 prices have dropped by up to $1,000 by some retailers

On a direct exchange rate basis, we are currently cheaper than UK and about equal with USA with regard to the PA5x.nitecrawler wrote:I seem to remember that Australia Korg pricing was higher relative to other areas of the world. Is that true or am I mistaking?
Right now you can buy a PA4x for $3799.00 US used verses $4,900.00 US new, so USA does not show a 50% price increase for the PA5X. Don't know how this relates to pricing for the rest of the world. There may be cheaper pricing out there but this reflects what I could find.karmathanever wrote:On a direct exchange rate basis, we are currently cheaper than UK and about equal with USA with regard to the PA5x.nitecrawler wrote:I seem to remember that Australia Korg pricing was higher relative to other areas of the world. Usually we are a bit more expensive with instruments (using exchange rate) possibly due to import and shipping costs, however our cost of living is cheaper so all in all we don't do too badly.
PA5x is a 50% price increase compared to PA4x but think that applies everywhere....
Hi Ginger, yours are even more expensive than oursGiner wrote:$5699 Cdn. for Pa4x-76 at Cosmo Music in Richmond Hill, Ontario.
Canada's other major retailer, Long & McQuade doesn't list a Pa-4x at all.
Yes - interesting question - it's weird that they will take backorders for PA4x - are they REALLY expecting more deliveries????rikkisbears wrote:I wonder if they have stopped production of PA4x’s, I would imagine when a new model is released they phase out the old?
Well, Pete, it wouldn't be a surprise to me at all.... About 80% of the music store websites in the Netherlands tell me the Pa4X still is available. 'Call us for details on date of delivery'. When I take a look at the Pa5X since its introduction it'd be a shame to Korg to discontinue such a successful keyboard like the Pa4X for benefit of a successor which has been a fault from the beginning. When you think a bit more out of the box: why is the PA1000 still be available at dealers without delivery time? The main board of the Pa1000 is practically the same as the of the Pa4X...karmathanever wrote:Yes - interesting question - it's weird that they will take backorders for PA4x - are they REALLY expecting more deliveries????rikkisbears wrote:I wonder if they have stopped production of PA4x’s, I would imagine when a new model is released they phase out the old?
According to Korg's website, it is NOT discontinued and implied as "available"
