Using both an expression pedal and foot switch pedal

Hey, I’m sure this has been answered but not sure where exactly. I’m wondering if I can use a foot switch pedal and an expression pedal at the same time on my Kronos 2? The foot switch would be strictly to change programs in my set list and the expression solely for master volume on certain programs within that set list. Can they both be utilized or is it one or the other? Thanks!

Yes, it is possible. Connect the foot switch pedal to the Assignable Switch jack, and the Expression pedal to the Assignable Pedal jack. The settings are in Global Controllers/Scales tab, Controllers subtab. Select Program Up for the Foot Switch Assign parameter, and Expression (CC#11) or Master Volume for the Foot Pedal Assign parameter.

Thanks a lot! That works! It would be nice if the Kronos had a way to program change both up and down with a foot switch pedal but that’s how it goes.

If you're not using a damper pedal, is it not possible to re-assign its function to Program Up or Down?

Nope. The Damper pedal jack function is not reassignable. Only changing polarity, and half-damper are possible.

Yeah that’s right, the damper pedal slot can’t function as that unfortunately. I know it’s kind of a frivolous thing but it would be a nice function to have just Incase you know

If you buy a MIDI foot switch, you can have program up/down.

Take a look at the Function Assign tab in the Global Controllers page.
