Limited to 13 combi options on combi 16 bank, more possible?

Post by OzzyC1987 »

Hi all

I seem to only have the option of 13 spaces for my personalised sounds on the combi bank, User 16….can a memory card increase that? It’s very frustrating have so few! Also is there a reason user bank 17 is blanked out on mine? Was second hand and came with no manual so been second guessing a lot of it! Also many sounds in the combi synth bank all sound exactly the same, like there’s no difference between each combi…would that be a result of the previous owner making their own latched (badly?).

Thanks for your help[/img]

Does the question refer to the Krome, or to some other keyboard. The Krome has three Combi banks (A to C), and the Krome EX has four (A to D), There is no User 16 or 17 Combi bank. The Combi banks come fully populated from the factory, as are the Program banks so, to add your own sounds would require overwriting the factory set Programs and Combinations. Make a PCG backup before making any changes (although the factory sounds can be restored from an internal backup, if needed).

The user manuals (Operations Guide, and Parameter Guide) for the Krome and Krome EX, together with the Voice Name Lists, Drivers, and video tutorial links, can be found here:

https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/85/
https://www.korg.com/us/support/download/product/0/810/

There are User selections for: Drum patterns, Template Songs, Arpeggiator patterns, Effects Presets, Sequencer Patterns, but no distinct User section for Programs or Combis.

There is a lot to learn on the Krome. Good luck, and welcome to the forum.
