Korg PA 4X restart issues

I have a restart issue that occurred infrequently up until now. Recently, my 4X restarted 3 times in one day! I have also gotten error messages that have been reported by other musicians such as “You pressed too fast” (so it won’t save the songbook #) or “This number has been taken. Choose another number.” For Songbook + which I really like to sync with my keyboard if it doesn't cause restarts.

I’ve tried to read all posts related to restart issues. I already have OS 3.1.0 Next July 18 2019 which some members said would solve the problem.

I also saw a recommendation to erase Direct's global settings and then re-install. Could you give me specific instructions? I worry that I could really mess up my PA4x and I have an upcoming show that I cannot afford to have a restart.

If there is a member who would be willing to tutor for a fee so that I can optimize using the PA4X, I would greatly appreciate it!

Does it "actually restart" or "power off"?

Does it do this whilst you are actively playing it?

Thanks for the questions. It powers off. I will observe more carefully but it happened during practice with the band so they saw it happen too. I think it may be related to one of the songs in the set that had a few songs with error message of this number has been taken.
I keep a spreadsheet of the songs that I create and I “fill” the number that Songbook identified as taken in the future. It applies then.

I put in a ticket to Songbook + and he said it is not related to the app but will refer me to Korg Germany. I appreciate all the help because it makes me lose confidence in playing my keyboard live.

Does this happen in different locations (different buildings etc..)?
Wondering if it might be an internal power-pack problem.

Asking again - does this happen whilst you are actively playing something? In the middle of a song?

Have talked so much about restart problems caused by several reasons,
unfortunately Korg still claims they fixed all bugs ,and restart problems
were out of discussion
They even stopped answering back since i send them some video providing information about several different ways of making a restart happen .

Songbook is the easiest way to do that indeed.
Try resaving all entries on keyboard ,and stop using Korg's Songbook software for pc as it might not fully support V3.1.

Also try to re-save all your Keyboard Sound Sets, one by one on keyboard.

Make also sure not to use more than 20 setlists,and try not to edit setlists while playing ,as it will sooner or later cause a restart.

Make sure there are no songbook entries under the same name and/or ID

Deleting Local's or Direct's Global settings is must too

Crossfingering every time you play Live is a ''Must'' too

Last,make sure when power on,that you can access your HD,that could freeze or cause restart too if for whatever reason pa4x is unable or loses contact with hd

I had three times restart problem with my Pa4X this year (2023).
