Hi.
I heard some time back, that Korg are working on a big update or revision of the Pa5X firmware. Potentially this will be released and appear on Korgs website, possibly within weeks.
I wonder if any one has heard similar info on a possible large revision of the software and what might Korg have addressed within this update?

That's where we are if korg can not be bothered to update the above information...
So it's all conjecture at this present moment in time...

a solid secret
okay, well I would just suggest that by the end of July, PA5X users, will be pleasantly surprised to find a large firmware update will have been released.
Truly guys, if your a 5x user, check back with Korgs support download page, late July into August.
Clearly this is one seriously well kept secret. I was told this was happening from a person within Korg. I have no reason to consider them a bare faced lier.
But hey, watch this space 5x users. I believe this will be a positive exciting update for us.

You sort of answered your own question here and I would think NDA's would kill any details you may be looking for around here...sbrown5925 wrote:okay, well I would just suggest that by the end of July, PA5X users, will be pleasantly surprised to find a large firmware update will have been released.

So, according to your own post, not long too wait, and if this update is as exciting as you believe, then i am sure we will all be having a Glass of Champagne (Subject to change, of course... The Glass of Champagne)

There yu go guys, V 1.2
So yep, there yu go. New version of the pa5x released.
I had heard that beta testing would take a few weeks longer, but clearly not.
From what I read, it doesn't address some of the more basic issues I have but I am about to download it, install and dig in.
I hoped it would allow us to load up a factory style, and then be able to select save style.. Instead of it saying file protected, it should then ask where in the user style folders would we like to save that copy.. So removing the need to copy and paste a factory style to the user styles, before being able to edit your own user styles.
After all, we have always been able to select a factory style, even then mess with it, but then directly save that as a new entry into songbook, which actually is just saving a style with its 4 sds, into one long list.
But yeh, big secret it was, finally released for us all to go test.
