Hi,
Does anybody know how to do these basic editing in the style creation/modification?
1) How to undo your very last recording?
Imagine you're creating a drum pattern. You record de hihat. It's ok. You record bass/snare. Ok also. But when you record the toms, somehing's odd and you want to try it again. As far as I know, your only option is to delete the whole CV you're happy with (excepting the very last recording), or going into event edit or style edit to delete manually that toms.
If this is not possible I think it should be a very important wishlist point for the next OS update. I miss the "Delete note" button in previous PA models.
2) In order to create a fill, the easiest way is to copy some CV as a baseline and adding some variations to it. Normally the fills are set in just one measure, becasue when you press the button you want to execute the fill and move on, but CVs are in many occasions longer than one measure.
So if you want to create the fill from a CV that is (let's say four measures long), is there any way to shorten that CV to just one measure (normally the last one) in order to get a better base to constuct the fill?
If not, please tell me how you use to make your fills please.
Thank you all

Re: Style edit: undo recording and shortening CVs
you can only delete the chord variation at the moment, it's not possible to undo your last recording with this specific example. So if you want to add a specific hi hat or tom sequence to an existing drum then i would use the percussion track for this. Then your original drums keep running and the extra's are in that track.agaray wrote:Hi,

But it would be nice to undo specific notes (by holding the key and then press delete) in an upcomming update for this specific scenario.
If you want to remove that note now you have to do it in the event editor by selecting that note(s) and then press delete.
In os1.20 you can do this in the cut section, there you can say how much and from with starting measure you want to cut in that chord variation.2) In order to create a fill, the easiest way is to copy some CV as a baseline and adding some variations to it. So let's say you have a CV length of 8 and you only want to use the last 4 from that chord variation then cut a length of 4 starting from measure 1,
Thanks a lot for your answer, mostly for the second one.
Regarding the first one, I hope Korg team take a good note for this essential feature. I'm not talking about many levels of "undoing", just one for the very last recording.
Given the situation I think a good practice is to copy your current CV to another CV, make the recording there and if everything's ok, copy back to the previous and if not you have some sort of "backup".
