You have probably watched this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StLmcgfWygU
It doesn't go into recording a Midi song from scratch but adding a track to an already recorded midi song should give you the basic steps.

I just wish Korg would add the easy record function as in other arrangers so you could select a style and record that in Midi instead of just as an MP3.

I had to use this feature (Recording Midi from a Style) with Pa900, Pa700, Pa1000 and Pa4X.
I don't have the Pa5X yet, but just by curiosity, do you mean this feature doesn't exist in Pa5X?

thank you for replies, i shall try again looking at the "styles" midi editing although this was not what i was actually wanting to do , i wanted to create a multi track midi song , it looks like i will have to use a different D.A.W. or the korg studio software to achieve this, i can't even save a midi file as it is , it appears in the song list but will not play?? and don't start me on deleting mp3 files !!! nightmare...ps i did have a 4x....5x is a great instrument but sadly lacking what should have been default functions maybe some more software updates ??? thanks all . ps can an organ swell pedal be connected and calibrated i have the yamaha pedal ...thanks again

Korg's PA5x FAQ wrote: Style Creator Bot
Q: Will a Style Creator Bot be available in future updates?
A: Yes. A tool similar to the Style Creator Bot will be implemented. Since the Pa5X is a completely new product, the instrument offers a lot of possibilities for tweaking Style-data in new ways to be explored in the future OS updates. We are targeting this to be available in the next OS update, date TBA.

Q: Will recording tools such as Quick Record be present in upcoming OS releases?
A: Yes. We are working on a new design of the Quick Record engine as part of a future OS release that will take full advantage of the powerful new Pa5X engine. We are targeting this to be available in the next OS update, date TBA.

PLEASE NOTE: all details and dates are subject to change without notice.

So, maybe or maybe not - and that's final
(We've had 2 updates since some of these FAQs were announced!!)
