Using the Midi to Style convertor (Style Creator BOT)

I have had limited success using this.

Occasionally I will get a really good style, but usually the Bot will only write one Intro and usually only 2 Variations - even though the source file uses different styles across some verses, a bridge, and occasionally different styles between choruses, and even a repeat back to the original intro (with a different style to the 1st intro).

I am familiar with using Markers, so wondering if I inserted markers using Korg-friendly names as a 'hint' whether that would help the Bot produce a better conversion??

I realise that you can use a DAW to produce a style file from the midi file, but I really don't want to get that deep into it.

So far, no one has found an easy way to help the bot to convert MIDI files to styles. But since you know how to add tags to MIDI files, maybe the easiest thing to do is use the tags that Korg provides: i1cv2, v4cv3, etc. ... You either do it all automatically or all manually, there's no middle ground (at least as far as I know).

I see that you have Cubase 12 Pro, my advise would be to convert the midi files in cubase to Pa4x styles.

I've created a tutorial for this for the Pa5x, but the cubase procedure is exactly the same for the Pa4X.

Just add a marker track in cubase and limit the number of tracks to midi channel 9 - 16 (just like in the video)

then add the labels to the specific sections in the midi file and import it in the style editor in the pa4x, that's all you have to do.

So here is the procedure for the Pa5X, but you can use the same procedure for the pa4x and import it in the corresponding section in the pa4x .
