Hi guys, I wrote to Korg USA, asking for the buttons, with 2 pics attached, and the part number list. They didn't answer.
I wrote again, and they didn't answer.....

That's not nice, not even polite...

Please Jerry or whoever, answer us!!

You should try contacting Korg support. You could also try a local service center to see if they are able to obtain a set.

Don't know how this is handled in New Zealand. In Europe you could get replacement buttons via your local dealer whereas in the US this was handled by KorgUSA directly.

I have looked in the USA and I am not able to find the buttons, I have tried Korg and all the parts places and it is listed as discontinued and no longer in stock.

it does not look like you can replace 1 or 2 buttons, it looks like the whole Keypad on the right side is one piece in the parts pictures.

I have replaced individual buttons. I got the buttons directly from Korg but that was some years ago. If you can find a button block I would think you can pull off single buttons and then use them for replacements. I did not have to disassemble the M3. Just used duct tape to pull off the old buttons.

Guitar-parts.com has them listed as out of stock and who knows when, if ever, they will get more.

Thanks.. i did not take mine apart to check if you could replace a single button, but that is good to know..

I don't think anyone will be restocking these, since they are no longer made.

I find it odd that a keyboard made from 2007 to 2013 would be out of stock on stuff like this and expansion cards.

Hi, does anyone have spare new buttons available? Maybe you got a whole block but only used a few? I need around 4 buttons for mine and have had no luck finding new ones so far.

Digital print decals (using clear matte vinyl) are more than likely the only solution at this point. There are several companies who would probably make a complete set for the M3 if it were a group purchase. I had them made for similar applications a few years ago and they were the perfect solution.

Korg button labels

Post by Jokeyman123 »

I know this qualifies as a "zombie" post, but anyway-I used the smallest size of Casio labelmaker tape-they make a 3/8" width tape with black letters on clear background-I had to use lower case letters to fit these directly on the buttons, but these fit and look pretty indistinguishable from the original size letters. caps would have matched, but were a tiny bit too large for some of the longer words and were not a size match for the original capital letters. A shame that Korg made these so poorly, I could see from removing the residue of old letters, these were somewhat imprinted on the plastic. Once I started cleaning this old M3l, several other button labels came off too...very bad. took me over an hour to replace all the bad button labels, that and a VERY STEADY hand and small very sharp scissors or X-acto knife or similar to trim the ends of the tape to fit.
