Antony Sharmman seems to be the only one who knows enough and understands enough, but is overrun by the crowd.
He also says that those who don't make advanced edits will benefit greatly from Pa5X.
Perhaps the author of that article has an explanation for all the missing factory PAD folders, or perhaps the author thinks this is of no significance...
You would think this would be relatively easy to sort out and rectify considering korg have been informed over 12 months ago and on many occasions...
Let me quote myself from previous threads...
Quote No.1>
So before OS 1.1.0 it quickly became apparent that of some the Factory Folders where missing for the main PADS, specifically, FACTORY> Drum and FACTORY> Synth, this was reported to Korg who confirmed my findings and past my report to the Development Team at Korg ...
Although the FACTORY Folders where missing you could still locate the the Drum Sequences and Synth Sequences in the Factory Styles to be used through the main PAD BUTTON, but they where not available to use freely and assign to other Styles as seen previously on Pa3x and Pa4x...
OS 1.1.0. arrived with the much needed stability along with the missing FACTORY> Synth (PAD Folder), BUT.. still missing the FACTORY >Drum (PAD Folder)?...
A further conversation with Korg and my report was again submitted early after OS 1.1.0 to Korg Development Team, (here we go)...BUT still with the release of OS 1.2.0 today, we are missing the FACTORY> Drum (PAD Folders), now considering we are moving in the right direction with OS 1.2.0, I have to say, once again i am dismayed and disappointed with the allusive missing FACTORY> Drum (PAD Folder) with the event of OS 1.2.0, this should not be difficult to rectify and i would considered these to be rudimentary for PA keyboard...
We all know the definition of madness, but again, I will phone Korg
who will probably file another report while Italy starts slowing down for their national summer shutdown...
Am I frustrated?...YOU BET.
Quote No.2>
So... We have established there are many PAD Sequences across numerous categories which are scattered throughout the PA5X Factory Styles which are still missing important Factory PAD Folders, which means at present the PA5X PAD folder section is unfortunately incomplete and crippled (in part) when compared to Pa3x and Pa4x for example...
Interestingly, Korg reinstated one of the missing folders (SYNTH) with the first update, but again failed to realise they are still missing other category folders, which I find very odd considering Korg have been informed many times by multiple informants (from day one) and I incude the Korg forum STICKYS and Thread's over this issue...
Even stranger to me, Korg then added many more New PADs with the recent and long awaited OS 1.2.0. update, but again, Korg are still unable to correct this on-going issue...((((( WHY KORG ))))) ?
And on top of this, to you Korg... you fail to communicate and acknowledge, through your representatives in my country, after time and effort have been applied on my part, where you fail in your own diligence...
Korg feel free to PM me on the Korg Forum and give some glimmer of hope you are going to rectify this over-site at some point, because my formal approach, appears to be only one way, over the past 12 months, whereby your representatives in my country, also appear to be very much in the dark over this particular matter ?
To the author of the named article at the beginning of this thread...
You may think some of us over here on the Korg Forum are suffering some form of Cognitive Dissonance, but based on your Assumptions, I have demonstrated clearly in this particular instance, that any Cognitive Dissonance, is coming from your side of an unfortunate process, which has been inflicted on the customer by Korg...

OK let us ask him to create a SAMPLE file, In stereo, IF he are able to make this, i will hand over my keyboard to him

I can, i can also import all sounds i want in stereo, Since i figure out another method to do this.
Also ask him, to compres this sounds now, and then resave

For me, i,m waiting 60 more days.
after that returning to my roots.

It doesn't make my blood boil. Not because I don't own a Pa5X but because I cannot take him serious after reading this sentence:
He isn't worth my attention nor energy. Let him keep being an Ostrich...
I doubt if he really knows how to create own sounds with own samples, create really good styles using the Style Bot (at least: I can create good styles with the Pa4X).Korg should have received a medal instead of a plethora of negative criticism that is not constructively based.
He tends to forget people who buy a Pa5X are musicians who really want the best of the best, whether its sound or style. And that means you have to do far more editing than just tweaking effects.Pa5X has no flaws for normal to slightly more advanced use.
He isn't worth my attention nor energy. Let him keep being an Ostrich...

None of us "the dissatisfied" do not dispute that there is an improvement in sound, screen, etc. We never argued that this keyboard is not good for those who only work with factory styles and sounds. This keyboard costs a little more than a regular keyboard (this is an arranger keyboard) and is not just for factory sounds and styles. It is unacceptable that things we have done and worked on pa80 - Pa4x, do not work on PA5x (where is the progress). In this case with dissatisfaction, it is not about users who bought a keyboard and do not know what is 4/4 and what is 6/8 style. We have a bit more knowledge and experience to create our own rhythm from scratch.
