create pads using midi files with a DAW

Thank you to all participantes to this forum for the various questions answered
I try without success to create new pads using midi files charged to my daw with the USB connection.
midi channels are correctly configured both in my Daw and the PA5x
instruments and pad kinds are also correctly configured.
when I run the midi file I can hear the sound playing but
there is no midi recorded to the PA5x
Do you have an explaination/solution
