creation of arpeggiator sequence ?

I note that in arranger mode, there are appegiators assigned to the PAD functions... but is there a way of CREATING arpeggiators in the sound-edit mode ?

A lot of what I do is from the sound-edit mode, and sometimes from arranger-mode with the keyboard-sets, but I've not yet found a way to create a stand-alone arpeggiator that I can use in my ambient loops.


Example. If I hold down a chord, to create an arpeggiator at a given tempo.
