Blinking "Tap" Button driving me crazy

Is there any way to turn off the blinking light of the tap button?

The Nautilus' Tap button is right in there where the gaze tends to go when adjusting a performance, so not ideal. A small piece of black insulating tape over the button would help. The Kronos' equivalent button is off to the right hand side of the keyboard, which seems a much better place for it.

Thank you. You are right. I don't much like the blinking Tap button on my Kronos either, but it has never bothered me nearly as much as the blinking Tap button on my new Nautilus.

If there is no way to turn it off, I guess the black tape would help. But I would think it might leave an undesirable sticky residue if removed. I think I'll try testing the tape on something else first.

Any sticky residue left behind by inulating tape will be easy to clean off with some lighter fluid, the stuff for fuelling the old fashioned cigarette lighters that have a wick. Alternatively, Coleman fuel for camping stoves is near enough the same stuff. Just a couple of drops on a tissue should be enough.

Some insulating tapes are better than others regarding leaving residue behind. A simple test is to pick up a reel of tape that's been lying around for a year or so. If the sides of the reel are tacky, the chances are it will leave a sticky residue behind. I just picked up a reel of AT7 tape, that hasn't been used in a while, and there's no stickyness, and no creep of the cut end. Nitto tapes are said to be good, also.
