MP3 doesn’t play

I am setting up a Songbook file for a song called School by Supertramp. All of the sounds are set up as I want them.
In the middle section of the song there is a 32 bar sequence that I have recorded and initially wanted to assign it to a Pad. But when I tried to load it as a Wav file, a box came up saying the file was too big.
So then I converted the file on my PC and saved it as an MP3.
I then assigned that MP3 to the song book entry with intention of when playing the song with band, when arriving at the middle of the song I press the play button, and the MP3 kicks in with the 32 bar section.
Well that was the plan, but I’ve tried a few times with different song book entries and the MP3 doesn’t play!!
If I stop, select the book entry again and press play the MP3 will play, but if I play the song live, selecting different sounds at different stages, when I reach the middle bit and hit the Play button, Nothing!!!!
Any ideas, or is some sort of a bug??

Iv'e given up trying to get it to work.
Instead I used the sequencer to record the section and saved it as a Midi file and that seems to work.

Regarding the MP3 problem - did you create the SONGBOOK entry whilst in SONG PLAY mode?
