Nautilus Probleme with Files and the System Management

Post by Felix1 »

Hi,

This is also for Korg who made Nautilus.
A Great Synthesizer with a lot of Problems !!!!!!!
It took me as Computer Specialist 3 Days to find out why it was not possible to save a Song with Audio Regions.....
What was wrong ????
The System of the Nautilus is not Kronos....
The Nautilus saves a Part on a Ram and the oder Part on the SSD... when you load Something.
It works with Both of Them at the same Time....
If you save All and in All and you change Something with Names and so on, than you will have a lot of Problems. Save your Songs as Songs and never, never Change a Name. If you do this you loose Every Waves you had before... In the User Manual it says when you changed Names then you have to change the Name also in the Directory of the Wave Files . But But But the Files are on the SSD where you cannot see or work with them
You cannot find them anymore... So save All is not the Solution...
And when you change Names the Nautilus freezes .

It was wrong to put in this beautiful Synthesizer a 60 GB SSD.....
Its not enough for Audio and Voice Banks...

Let it cost 200 more and put a big and fast SSD...
Take an Exemple at Akai where you can put a second SSD in the Engine.

Please in the Future write a better User Guide .

Thank you

And for the Support in Germany they are not existant, dont try to write them.

Hi Felix,

When save seq will save all that loaded songs in the files with extension SNG. When record audio files the tracks are automatic save in a SSD as a TEMP file, After Save SEQ all the audio files will be saved in a special Folder with same name with your SNG file. If change the name of SNG will lost the associated audio files from that folder. If want to change the name, load the SNG file and save again with different name.

Usually is better to start with empty seqencer to avoid to save unnecessary or double audio files. So INIT seq before use.

For more SSD spaces you should copy the Factory/Preload.SNG and Preload_A on USB external media or external HDD than delete it from disc. There's a song with audio files as a example, you could copy back to restore them anytime.

Kronos and Nautilus Seq working the same except the auto load path.

Please write me a mail on contact@danstesco.ro, will help you to can save and load your song with audio files.

keep in touch!
Dan
