Trying to Duplicate this sound
I am working on a cover of "You Should Hear How She Talks About You" by Melissa Manchester. Can't seem to find a sound on the KRONOS that works for me. Any suggestions?

The main sound you hear in the intro. What is being played in the right hand.average_male wrote:A lot of sounds in that song, is it the voice sound you are after?Wagnergrad96 wrote:I am working on a cover of "You Should Hear How She Talks About You" by Melissa Manchester. Ahhh I remember that song - from the era of key changes and hand claps! And DX-7 of course.
The right hand part does sound like it came from a DX-7. Perhaps there's a sound from the MOD-7 Kronos engine that's similar. The attack and envelope sounds like a synth guitar - perhaps look in the Guitar category?
You might even find the DX-7 sound (from among the thousands and thousands). Then you could load it into you Kronos! http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=73751

So I downloaded a .zip file with DX-7 sounds. There are sooooo many. It's gong to take me a while. A noble journeybpoodoo wrote:Ahhh I remember that song - from the era of key changes and hand claps! And DX-7 of course.

Re: Trying to Duplicate this sound
So, it took a while but I finally finished "You Should Hear How She Talks About You" by Melissa Manchester. I had it done for a while, but my friend who does the vocals lives 3000 miles away and only get out to Long Island once a year so we could do the video (and work on new songs).
All of the keyboard (and drum) sounds are from the KRONOS. All of the other audio was recorded on the KRONOS, like guitar, bass and vocals. I think there were 8 tracks of vocals.
