Volca Sample 2 and orchestral samples

I am looking for a portable sampler to compose on the go using orchestral samples. Would the Volca Sample 2 be suitable?

it'll take some work but you can do it. It's not really suited for that. You start running out of room (only 16 steps) pretty quick. But, you could chain patterns to extend it out
