Korg PA1000 Keybed in a PA700

Post by Nick G »

I am aware the PA1000 / PA 900 / PA 800 all have weights attached underneath the white keys where the PA 500 / 600 / 700 do not.

Is that the ONLY physical difference? I know that the PA 1000 / 900 and 800 keybed has after touch as well but this is not what I am chasing...

I am interested in replacing all my keys (black and white) in my PA 700 with the keys from a PA 1000 / 900 / 800). To improve the overall keyfeel and quality.

1) Has Anyone done this?
2) Do the keys literally go straight in without any modification?
3) Are the Pa 1000 / 900 / 800 keys anymore sturdier ? less noisy/clacky etc?

Thanks
Nick

Just sell your PA700 and buy PA1000. That is what i did and I am happy with the change. Better keys, more memory, movable screen, Helicon... So many advantages and it is well worth +-600 EUR difference
