Any news on a new PA5 replacement

Post by Chuck »

Time for me to start thinking about a replacement for my PA4. Not interested in the 5. Is there any news about a new PA6 coming soon?

(((( Sacrebleu ))))

The mere consideration of this matter indicates the potential for multiple avoidable early coronary complications for many, regardless of their role in the process. However, in all seriousness, the PA5X must still meet the expectations set by the PA4X and advance further, which it has done in many ways but not all, or Korg's customer base will suffer significant damage. Hopefully, a solution will emerge for those whose confidence has been affected.

Hi Chuck, tend to think a replacement for PA5x could be in the way DISTANT future. They have to get the the PA5x functioning as it should , first and foremost and satisfy PA5x customers.

There’s enough disillusioned PA5X owners already, who on earth would buy just say a PA6X if the PA5x was never upgraded properly to its full potential. All trust in the Korg brand would be totally diminished, enough trust issues already with Korg.
best wishes

Rikki. You are always straight on. Good common sense answers. I have thought the same ever since the 5 came out with problems. As it was explained to me by a dealer, many of the original Korg creators were let go during COVID. So the original workers did not create the 5, hence all the problems.
My 4 has seen its day and so I'm checking new boards out. Everything is so very pricey these days and at my age I'm not sure I want to jump into another adventure. But I sure like the challenges these arrangers have.
Thanks again Rikki, you are a jewel.

Hi Chuck, there’s not a great deal around in the way of high end arrangers. Gone are the good old days , it was pretty much a new model every 3 to 4 years, plus we had Roland and Technics.

Not sure if the Genos 2 is major improvement over the Genos 1 ie added new outstanding functions or features .

Might be worth persevering with PA4x for time being and see what happens with PA5X update.
best wishes
