Pa5x OS v1.3.0 - 4x to 5x File Conversion

Fellow Pa5x Enthusiasts,

I noticed on the new OS update v1.3.0 documentation that there is File Conversion improvements.

"Converting Pa4x to Pa5x data improves Drum Kit conversion, in particular the way the Assign parameter is translated"

Is it recommended that any previously converted 4x files be "re-converted" on the new v1.3.0?

OR

Will simply reloading the backup on the new OS fix any (known or unknown) issues with any previous conversion?


Also, I'm curious what "Drum Kit Assign Parameter is translated" actually means in layman's terms?

That would be really handy to know. This will be the 3rd or 4th time I’d have to convert my Pa4x library, if it is the case.
If it improves then further , it will be worth it though.
Guessing they possibly will have to be redone.

Have you indeed seen/heard improvement each time you converted your Pa4x library?

Did you just convert Sounds or Styles as well?

Also, I'm curious what "Drum Kit Assign Parameter is translated" actually means in layman's terms?

Hi, can’t quite remember which update it was ( possibly the prior one) , it made a major difference to some of my styles. Mainly noticed it on my psr/Korg conversions. They finally played back correctly. Up till now I’ve only used factory sounds in them.

Not quite sure what they mean by drum kit assign parameter . Might check the manual.
