Korg Pa5X: 45 new styles OS1.30 demo with original song name

Post by QuiRobinez »

Here is a demo of all the 45 new styles included with the Korg upgrade firmware OS1.30 for the korg Pa5X International. These styles are absolutely fantastic and sometimes hard to recognize if you want to use them for playing the original song.

So I have included the original artist name and song title for the song styles I know (which are a lot). You can find that information on the style information tile in the video for each style.

Great Job, Qui. Thank you for this.

It must of been hard for Korg to decide which styles/songs to work on/include in the release as there are so many to choose from. I think they chose well.

Which is your favorite? Some of them are simply outstanding.

I like a lot of them, they sound a lot better then the other styles.
My favorite is the funk remix of We will rock u. Especially Variation 3 and 4. You that is so good and you can play lots of worship songs with them (for instance from hillsong).

These styles from this set are amazing in my opinion.

Only a couple of the new styles are mildly interesting.
Most of them sound like boring American pop music.
Still waiting for Korg to recognize Japan on the world menu.

Hi,
I think there are some great (song specific) styles in there. It keeps the PA5X relevant to younger people. Very impressed with them all, but I do understand Basspig's comments, as a lot of pop music is a bit 'bland' (especially to older ears) !! My favourites are the Simply Red & Country ones.
