Put version 1.2.1 on a USB and start the procedure, I already went back from 1.3.0 to 1.2.1.Dan MMXVDB wrote:Question for those who have experience with OS updates on the Pa5X.
If users are experiencing issues with the latest OS release, can a previous OS be re-installed, or will the Pa5X decline earlier OS releases?
Thanks
Until now I didn't have this kind of experience and need, but this time after the long-awaited big upgrade full of bugs I was forced to do that too.

This cannot be acceptable
Rather than go back to OS 1.2.0 why not go back to the shop?
Personally, if I had bought one, I would have ditched it by now....

Hi Sam, not tempted. Haha.Sam CA wrote:What a mess! I got my first arranger sometime around 2008. I’ve seen many OS updates since then but I’ve never seen a group of users deciding to roll back. This Pa5x story is yet to come to some sort of positive conclusion. 4 years in the making and still … . Strange and sad!
So far , so good , for me. Must be certain functions that cause issues for users , that maybe I’m not using.
Shouldn’t be happening though.
Probably shouldn’t say too much or I’ll jinx myself.
Nice to see you pop up again
best wishes

Agreed. The update is okay, it seems to work without any issues on my PA5X.mabcomp wrote:Its ok for me so far and lets face it there nothing better out thererikkisbears wrote:Hi Sam, not tempted. Hi,
I also don't seem to be having any problems with the update.
Where my frustration heightens is with the huge 'Wall Of Silence' that will ensue from Korg in the coming weeks and months.
Does anybody actually know where the O/S is actually written ? I thought it was Italy, but I am also aware that Japan were getting more involved with the PA5X.

Hey Rikki. Good to hear that. You're probably right. Certain functions are probably causing that but the thing is people don't sound so confident in general!rikkisbears wrote:

It seems to affect those who do more custom editing and that sort of thing.

Hi Sam, I do still edit and customise styles, but I don’t use custom samples in them, so that might still be causing some problems. No idea.Sam CA wrote:Hey Rikki. Good to hear that. For performers, no doubt would be a concern, can’t afford to have something go wrong during a performance.
Other than that, finally got most of the style editing functions back

Hi, I gather you’re talking recording styles? I just tried it on mine all the tracks played back while recording.patpsc wrote:1.3 update not working for me. Recorded tracks are silent when playing back or during recording of another track. Totally useless!
Haven’t done a great deal of editing etc with new update so maybe just been lucky.
Unlikely , but, you haven’t accidentally hit solo on one of the tracks while recording?
best wishes
