Question for saving more than one keyboard set to a SB entry
Hello Korg-folks, now I‘m a happy owner of a PA5x 76. It‘s Not a challenge to use this board instead of the long-term-used Kronos.
Before that I‘ve owned a PA4x.Musikant and I‘m curoius to observe the following error:
I create a Songbook-Entry; it is saved with the modified sound settings on the first keyboard set. Now I want to modify the sounds (e.g. adding strings) and make a long press on the Second KS-button. It appears a saving error. Same ehem trying to edit the SB-entry: the drop-down-menu to select another than the first KS-entry: it‘s greyed out (no function). Has anyone an idea?
Best regards
Tim

(Sorry if this seems to be a self-monologue...)
After experimenting different things I‘ve understood the workflow:
First time a SB-Entry is saved with one specific modified KBD-set (and 3 Sets from the selected style).
If you want to modify a second KBD-set you have to exit the SB-menu on the screen. Then you have to choose another KBD-set. After that you can select another location for saving this sound-combination as a second KBD-set of this SB-entry.
It‘s as powerful as I‘ve expected: You can use 4 KBD-Sets per SB-entry which can be totally different than the 4 KBD-Sets of the selected style...Now the Setlist makes Even more sense.
Happy Weekend and greetings

Great how you figured it out yourself!
The SongBook is a fantastic feature in all PA arrangers.
See the tutorial our dear forum member Qui Robinez made:

You have the 4 KS per SB entry, but you also have your 11 favorites, which can be used as “frozen” KS. Most of us have a favorite piano KS, synth lead KS etcetera. It’s fantastic to have them always available for direct use in any performance.

No need to edit the KS in the style itself. You can easily store the 4 KS with the style in the SongBook. That also makes it possible to change lots of other different things: FX, volumes, pads etcetera. SongBook is the core of my workflow.kronos_timmmy wrote:Thanks you for your confirmation. I‘ve also figured out why the saving error occurred - I tried saving a modified KBD-set in a location of a factory style, after saving this style as User it worked...
