I have the PA4X , And I just ordered a new PA5X .. Can I just update to 130 . Or do I have to do any past updates before I do 130 ... I know before any update I will also check the current status , Before I update . Any help would be really appreciated thank you , Regards, Totally Kenny :D

My advice is to cancel the order. If you are already buying a Korg Pa5x, make sure it comes with the 1.30 operating system. I think there are differences in the Korg Pa5x versions. That's why there are so many problems. Obviously, they are not the same versions because in every operating system someone finds new problems. As far as I can see from what others write, there seem to be differences in the keyboard versions. So, wait or look for the latest Korg Pa5x with the latest version of the operating system, factory latest version. That way, it is most certain that you will get the best quality Korg Pa5x in every sense.

Hey just Kenny,
My PA5X was on version 1.1 and I upgraded to 1.3 directly without any issues. Still, important to make a full backup of your keyboard BEFORE you do the software upgrade.

Download all the converted styles and goodies in this post http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... p?t=130976

or go directly to this location to download what you need for your 1.30 version.

Listen to me if you wanna go work in gigs everynight and not freeze your pa5x
Get 1.2.1 update and you will not have big issues like freezing in middle of the gig
Im satisfied with that update until now and dont have problems i mean i have 100problems.. but not major issues like freezing
So get 1.2.1 and dont update it until some reliable update comes

I have pa5x for 1 year and had over 100gigs ...1.2.1is the best update

Once your 5X arrives insert a new USB memory stick and perform a SaveAll file creation, this is the Backup, once complete remove it from the 5X and keep it safe.

This thread details how.

http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... p?t=130953

Then if it does have 1.3 all is OK if not simply download it, and extract it to a new USB memory stick that has been formatted prior in the 5X and follow exactly the process detailed in the PDF file that will be with the update.

Do note that after updating the 5X will delete everything on the USB drive hence when when updating only have the update on the USB memory stick.

Then the next action is to generate another SaveAll file.
