Sound Banks Compatibility

Are the WavesArt and SounGlobal sound banks compatible with each other and can they be installed at the same time, or can I only have one of them installed? Thank you for the answer.

In PaSeries as also in Pa5X there are specific Banks where custom samples of a developer will be placed as SOUND , let's say
User01 - User6 Banks up to OS v.1.21.
If for instance a custom KST library uses User03 Sound Bank for it's resources then every time you load User03 Sound bank
all previously saved positions in that User bank of any other library will be deleted.
Also every time you load a whole KST folder that has custom samples , all existing samples will be deleted.

There is no automatic merging of 2 libraries that are using the same sound bank03 in any PaSeries , you have to do it manually
and if you change sound positions of a library then other resources of that library like Styles/KBD SET/PAD will loose assignment
and won't play anymore.
This is a well known problem that happens for many years with Kronos and Korg Store EXs libraries that one deletes the other.

Therefore as a rule you can't merge 2 or more sound libraries (KST folders) in PaSeries if they're using the same Sound Banks.
A complete big setup with Styles and custom sound resources , by definition is impossible to be merged with another similar one.

As a last , WavesArt uses the same Sound Banks for example User04 for 4 different sound libraries so every time you load one
this deletes the other , that's why we have designed different Sound Banks of User04 for customers that will purchase later a
bundle of 2-4 sound libraries and an extra KST folder will be sent to them with merged 4 libraries in the same User04.

YES. After you install wavesart library, send a message to Global Sounds mentioning the free sound banks available on your PA5X.
They will help you with this.

I'm a little confused by this. Is your answer impacted at all by your recent announcement:


"Now some WavesArt Sound libraries are installed in new Pa5X Sound Banks User 7 -12 for users that have already filled User01-06 with custom resources migrated from Pa4X.

I'm a little confused by this. Is your answer impacted at all by your recent announcement:

Latest announcement is the solution for some users that have important custom resources in older Banks.

Pro sound development requires a decent management of Sound banks and not to waste a whole Sound Bank for 10 sound positions.
For that reason , some User Banks host up to 6 WavesArt sound Libraries else up to 16 User Banks are required for all of them.
