Convert Pa1000 Musikant sounds to Pa5x

Post by KeysFla »

I have the Pa1000 Musikant add-on. When I convert the styles, some of the sounds are missing. Is it possible to create a sample of a missing sound (pa1000) and install it on PA5x? I am not well versed on sampling his way. So maybe someone can steer me in the right direction?

The Musikant is a localized version of the PA series arrangers which is aimed at the German / EU customers. The Musikant uses special sound samples and resources that CANNOT be copied outside the instrument. Hence the styles that use localized resources will not playback correctly. The only way to make the styles play correctly is to revoice the styles to use factory resources on the destination arranger or sample the sounds, and then use them. Sampling and creating sounds is a big topic beyond the scope of this reply. Please read the user manual (pages 1001 to 1048).

If the instrument on which the Musikant sounds/drums sound is given, it can be solved with a clever and detailed sampling! Afterwards, the already sampled sounds can be edited on the instrument you transfer them to, just like any other sampled material!
I transferred such samples from my Pa4x musician to my pa5x in the same way, and I can use them there as user sounds and user drums!
Of course, these must then be added manually to the given style, pad-hot, KBS, which work properly with these sounds!
For this, I made a separate list in which I wrote down the CC codes of the given sounds, which one can I find where in the USER!
SETUP:
- KORG Pa5x (61)
- KORG Pa4x (61) NEXT Plus v4.1.2
- QSC TM-16
- EV EKX-12P - EV EKX-15SP
- VoiceSolo FX150
- EV ELX200-10P
- Neumann KMS105
- Rode M2
