PA5X internal styles real names list for download

Post by epereirajle »

Hi,

I would like to share this list with suggested real song names for the PA5X's internal styles that I have been working for some time.

Some of them were songs that I already knew but the vast majority I found elsewhere and I didn't test them all, but I believe that most of them will match correctly the informed styles.

I hope it will be useful for players like me, who doesn't listen to contemporary music very much or music from other countries.

It is not a PA5X songbook file, but an excel list with all internal styles and the suggested song names for most of them, so you can add to the songbook those songs that you like more.

There are still some blancs so if you know some other suitable songs that are missing, feel free to share with me or in this post! :)

I've had a Tyros 4 for about 10 years and people in the Yamaha forum often shared styles, samples and useful things and I feel that it doesn't happen here often (with some exceptions).

Since I had this difficult to find the real songs suitable for each style, I thought that it would be a good idea to share this list.

By the way, there are also some quick mp3 demos

Nice job! Thanks for sharing!

Has anyone done something similar for the factory Songbook entries?

You are welcome guys.
I must say that I'm a happy owner of PAX5.
When I receive it after selling my Tyros 4, I have found the sound a bit flat or harsh and missed those movie scores styles from Tyros and Genos. It also seemed that most factory styles were not suitable to the sounds I liked to play.
After some time reading, learning and playing and after I was able to convert those Yamaha styles and samples that I liked more and became more used to the more conteporary styles from Korg, I can say that I'm liking the PA5X more and more each day and I don't regret that I chose it over the Genos 2.
Now I actually find the Korg styles more realistic than Yamaha's. I just miss the SA2 woodwinds a bit, that were actually very nice.

hi Eduardo,
I did some updates to your file. You can find a version of your file here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

I also incorporated a column for tempo etc from the songbook and a book name for those that use sheet music. The book names comes from another index that is available in another forum.

Let me know your thoughts?

Petrus

Hi Petrus,

Well done! Very nice!

I added your file to my drive.

Do you mind tell me what is the other forum that you mentioned? :)

I would like to join it.

By the way I just added some soundtrack styles converted from TYros and Genos using the method explaned by "Qui Robinez" with cubase.

I also noticed your nickname. Have you owned a Tyros? What is your opinion in comparison with the Korg. I sold my Tyros4 three months ago. I'm not missing it! I think that Genos 2 have some very nice instruments but whatching the demos on youtube it seems that 60% of it sounds very similar to my old Tyros 4. I just miss a few SA2 woodwinds. Before selling it I sampled some that I liked more and when I have time I intend to add them to my PA.

Regards

Eduardo
