Osimo gor Pa5X
Thanks for sharing this Chelsea.
It looks like quite a great download. Unfortunately Korg haven't put any installation instructions in the pdf.
I've emailed KORG and if I get a reply from them I'll post, but it will no doubt be after the weekend.
Having got my Pa5X exactly as I want it, I don't want to screw it up by installing it incorrectly.
Can anyone suggest installation tips. Thanks in advance.

I loaded the OSIMO KST and it did replace the entire Songbook. I had a few personal songbook entries and they were promptly replaced without further questions. So YES, the songbook and its contents are completely erased. Make a backup of the songbook before installing the OSIMO. Otherwise the OSIMO is awesome, loads of popular songs with selected styles and instruments are immediately available for playing. Good job, Korg for providing such a wonderful Songbook. Thanks.chelsea4023 wrote:Hi, ......
Do you lose any personal files when loading ?

Thanks!
hi chelsea4023,
thanks for the link. I have imported the Osimo Songbook into my PA5X - I now have duplicate entries in my songbook, but that is okay.
The Osimo entries mostly have chord sequences attached which is way better than the standard songbook entries; and have the correct intro's set up ready to play. What its missing is the key and the actual artist.
Will go through and remove / merge the duplicates (add the key and original artist back) and will post a link to my songbook once I have completed the duplicate removal.
Regards,
Petrus

Hi,
A bit cheeky, but I took this post from another keyboard Forum. It is from Saulo at Korg U.K. and he explains how to load the Osimo Songbook so that it integrates with your existing Songbook titles. I have just followed the instructions below and it seems to have worked for me.
"This should work if you select all the individual songs before loading them:
1) Press the File button and navigate to the USB stick/folder containing the Osimo for Pa5X v1.3.KST folder.
2) Select the Osimo for Pa5X v1.3.KST to open its contents. This should reveal the SONGBOOK folder.
3) Open the SONGBOOK folder and do the same with the SONGDB.SDB folder.
4) Within that, you should see the individual song files. Open the Page Command Menu and touch the Select All command.
5) Once all individual songs are selected, open the Page Command Menu again and select the Load command.
At this stage, make sure the Replace All option is not selected and the new songs should be merged with your existing ones."
Osimo for the PA5X was released with no loading instructions.

Hello That's exactly the good method , i did it ! but the probleme is that you'll have multiple SB entries du to the old existing ones you had loaded before , so you'll have to delete them one by one and keep the only Ossimo !
On the PA4X the Ossimo created a folder Setlist automatically ! but not on the PA5X ! that's a big difference ! you must create you own setlist by loading Ossimo entries One /none !

Because it replaces all the prior Songbook entries including User Saved songs.chelsea4023 wrote:Hi,
If you don't want to keep your existing Songbook titles then simply
tick the 'replace all' box before loading Osimo.
Chris
It did for me.
Used the SaveAll file to restore my 5X and then used the method Chelsea “borrowed”, as we are both on the same other forum.
Hopefully Korg in an update will restore the Direct Drive feature.
