1.Where on the kronos 2 do you find the random wave sound like you would find in Emerson Lake and Palmer?
2. where can i find the phase effect like on the song Tom Sawyer? tIA

Something a bit more specific than just "Emerson Lake and Palmer" would help.

I think he's talking about the sample and hold sound at "Welcome back my friends, it's the show that never ends".

Search for "S+H" (sample and hold) and "Sawyer Lead" in the Kronos program names, you will them as stock programs, then if needed study how they work.

Yes that is correct. And I'm hoping for help on question2 also

I concur with KK. Search for Karn Evil 9 and for Tom Sawyer. Both sounds are there on the K2. On the stock K2, the first is in INT-B120 "Karn Evil #9 S&H (G#4)" and the second is in INT-A093 "Tom Sawyer Bass Synth" played somewhere around key E2, I think.
