The MIDI-OX Actions / "Start Display" menu item alternates with the "Stop Display" menu item i.e. it's a toggle. If you can see "Stop Display" as a menu item, it means that MIDI-OX is displaying MIDI messages. Also, make sure the "Start or StopMonitoring MIDI Data" (traffic light icon) is showing green.

Have you tried swapping over the MIDI In and MIDI Out cables on the MIDI interface, in case they may have been mislabelled. Either that or the interface is faulty. Some of the cheap USB-MIDI interfaces are not good at sending SysEx data, for example.

It might be worth trying to connect the i3 MIDI Out to the interface, and see if there are any MIDI data visible in MIDI-OX. It all seems a bit strange that MIDI-OX is unable to display any MIDI data from the accordion.

@voip
hello happy new year everyone ,
mister Voip it seams you know a lot more about the new i3 than Korg technical assistance about midi setting and how this board actually works , my intentions with this keyboard have changed since last we spoke , i want to control the i3 with an other board via usb midi, i got it to work but i am finding hard time splitting the upper with the lower portion, as well chord control and sync start , now the board that i am using has midi usb and i am able to change midi channels accordingly how ever i get chord changing on upper part of the i3 even after i set the i3 to lower part chord change only , if i change channel on the keyboard controller 1 to 3 i am able to change chords with the lower , but i am losing upper control no sounds of course and i can not get the synchro start to work don't matter what midi setting i have ....i am sure is very confusing but in simple words i cant get the i3 to work correctly 100 percent if is controlled by an other usb keyboard , hopefully you have a solution for me ,,,thank you again and happy new Year
