Thank you Pete!

I was planning on downloading all of these, you saved me the work...

I'll let you know how I make out with the MIDI setup once the Pa4x arrives. Thank you again for checking in to the setup.

My stacked plan was the same as yours (Pyramid Style) with the larger keyboard on the bottom, which is the Kronos for me.

It sounds as if you may be utilizing the Sound Engines from the Kronos, while playing your Pa4x which I think is a good way to go. I might have to play with the LOCAL setting setup to see if I can do the same, I think what we discussed will have me playing all of my sounds though the Pa4x, unless I leave LOCAL ON which will likely then play both keyboards.

More to come on this - I will move this portion of the post to the appropriate thread as well.

Just wanted to thank you for your help in both areas :)

Hi Pete, I know this is an old thread so the download links have expired but is there anyway I can download this again? My usb pen got wiped that I had this on along with the last version they released of OSIMO NEXT which I cannot find anywhere either.

Should have copied them to the PA4X internal :-(

Cheers.

Post by KevinBland »

Hi, I am also trying to find this download so would appreciate it if anyone could share.
Are there any sites / groups that share styles for the PA4x?

I cannot thank karmathanever often enough. To have all 42 bonus sets in one direct folder is amazing and perfect. It helps me every day creating new songs and sound arrangements.

Thanks a lot Pete and best regards from Germany/Cologne, Ralf

Hi Pete.
Downloaded the bonuswareset sucessfully. Thank you so much for your effort for other Korg users. :D
I have finally taken the plunge and bought a used PA4X-76 that is on its way from the seller, and I am very much looking forward to finally being able to try something more grown-up Korg than the MicroArranger that the grandchildren have taken over.
It will probably be an exciting autumn and winter with a lot of mistakes and exploration with a new and unknown OS for me.

Btw,
is the Musikant's styleset available for the international version as well?
Cheers 🥂

Hi Pete.
Got the 'new' baby yesterday. It looks like just being unboxed for the first time, even the protection at the screen is still on. Had to replace the backup battery, it's been a while since 2017, so ...
But, this thread is about the bonus styles.
Figured out how to connect to PC, copied your file into the internal HD. Followed your 'how to do' description about direct link earlier in the thread, and woila, success!
Now it's to dive into all the rest there is to study and learn.

Thank's again.
Keep well.
Cheers 🥂

Hi Pete, Long time. FYI. Not long ago and after a few years pondering, I decided to try the PA5. I was able to get one for $4K US, The first thing I noticed was the Vocal Harmonizer is not TC Helicon. So connecting it so I can use a foot switch on/off would not work. So after listening to some of the sounds for a couple days. I sent it back and got a refund. I am now searching for a new PA4. I found the Oriental style, just not sure what the difference is. Hope things are well with you. Nice chatting, take care.

Hi Chuck
Hope you are fit and well :D

Completely empathise with your decision my friend - I will definitely not be buying a 5X - maybe the 6X if Korg ever get their act together...
Anyhow, as you are aware, there are differences but a lot will depend on your personal requirements from the 4X and whether the "Oriental" will meet all those requirements. It would be hard to find a new one but there are some used ones around - consider the "trade-ins" that come larger retailers may be holding.

In case you haven't seen this, check this out...
https://korgforums.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... p?t=108316

Google says:-
The Oriental one has built-in Oriental (in this context, it means Middle-Eastern, not Chinese/Japanese etc.) sounds and styles, and as a result, it is missing some of the sounds and styles that the PA4X comes witth. Those styles can be found online and imported into the Oriental.

Let me know how you go

Pete 🙏
