Nautilus multisamples - can they be installed in Kronos?
I really like the Nautilus Dry Grand piano program in the Nautilus. I know you can't install Naut programs in the Kronos, but can I install the multisamples in the Naut that make up the Naut Dry Grand program into the Kronos, and then build a new program that mirrors the NDG? Hope this makes sense. Thx, Mark

To import Korg Nautilus multisamples into a Kronos, you'll need to save the Nautilus sampling data as a KSC file, then load that KSC file into the Kronos's KSC autoload list.
Here's a more detailed breakdown:

When it comes to the Kronos, Google AI is such a faker!
No it's not possible. You would need to *INSTALL* EXs 301 first and authorize it before loading the KSC file, but there is no installation file like you would normally get from shop.korg.com.
I have a Nautilus at work and a Kronos at home, I honestly like that German 2 SGX-2 piano too (along with a number of the new stuff they put on the Nautilus), but it's just not available for the Kronos. What you can do it load up EXs4 "Vintage Keyboards" on the Kronos. It has the two Steinway samples that were produced for the Korg M3 Xpanded - they're quite good, and they have a lot of the character that EXs301 has (also a Steinway, but don't tell Korg I said that). You'll have to find the PCG file that accompanies that library that uses those two samples.
It seriously took me 8 years to realize that those two piano samples are hidden on the Kronos! Honestly I usually left EXs4 unloaded for the longest time, not knowing what all was in there. One is a 4-layer and one is a 3-layer piano, they both use HD-1 engine.

Actually, it is possible but lots of work. You would need to create a new complete multisample instrument library for it. A Korg acoustic piano actually has the advantage that you won't need to bother with loops, as opposed to other instruments, but still you will have to sample at different velocities, etc. And of course, you will need to play your work in HD-1 instead of SGX-2. So very likely not worth the effort, especially as this will also eat some more RAM on your Kronos.

Thanks guys for the input and answers. Maybe easiest thing to do is keep my Naut and buy a Kronos again!

I'm surprised the new additions to the Nautilus ROM wasn't made available to Kronos users. It might be because the intention was that Nautilus would replace the Kronos and they thought we'd all just upgrade. Maybe with the next Kronos coming out, they'll make it available for purchase. For a fair price I'd buy one. They really did a good job with the new multisamples.

I am also looking into new piano samples and can't decide. The Italian Grand is my clear favourite, which I do have.
But I also like the EXs147 from Purgatory Creek. But I also consider getting the virtual piano Pianoteq from Modartt and sample myself what I need... But again, can't decide, and am also waiting for version 9 to come out.
