Korg Prophecy vs Korg Z1

I've been a proud owner of a Korg Z1 since around 1999 but out of interest I've recently purchased a Korg Prophecy, my main reason being comparing the difference in their audio outs. The main difference between the two is the multi-timbrality and the extra models in the Z1 but here I'm just comparing the actual audio coming out of the two.

Having spent some time with the Prophecy, in my opinion it sounds fuller, more organic, more musical than the Z1 which to me sounds a bit brittle and a bit sterile. To me the Prophecy sounds more edgy and more alive than the Z1. I wish I'd have got the Prophecy sooner.

Another bonus of the Prophecy is that it has a great editor in Progenie 1.75. Unfortunately this is abandonware now so can't be registered anymore. It has it's small problems but it is still available for download on the internet. I wish the author, Pete Booth would update it and put it up for sale once again.
