Kronos 2 touch screen adjustment Issue

Post by Space Girl »

Recently accidentally messed with the touch screen adjustment and touch screen wouldn't respond at all at first. I re-did the adjustments and it works now but it's no longer working as it should be. I don't think the actual screen has gone bad but think it's something to do with this adjustment tab (sorry can't recall the actual name of it). It's where you pull the two corner points with a stylus or finger.
Can anyone advise me on how to get it back to normal? Anyone else had same problem?

The two calibration points, that are displayed at opposite corners of the calibration screen, do not need to be tapped simultaneously. Rather, each calibration square that is displayed, needs to be tapped individually, as close to the centre of the calibration square as possible. The order in which the calibration squares are tapped shouldn't matter, as the Kronos works out which one has been tapped from the coordinates it receives, during the calibration. There is no need to drag the stylus or finger, during this process. Just a precise tap. I found using using the tip of a fingernail worked best. Using the fleshy end of a finger gave me a less well defined calibration.

That function is called Touch Panel Calibration, follow instructions for it on page 817 in the Parameter Guide. It determines the X and Y position of the touch screen, so if there is a horizontal or vertical offset the LCD will end up acting weird since not correctly under what the LCD shows.

Simply redo that process again to fix the problem, taking your time. Use a soft plastic pointy thing such as a pen cap and carefully aim at the center of each square. That should do it. Keep us posted if ever you continue to have problems.
