microKORG 2 Update 2.0 Fried Graphics : HELP

I was so excited that almost a year after purchasing my new MicroKORG2 that there was an update
I wish I didn’t do it. After the update said it was successful it did not reboot correctly. The right side lights keep going through this buzzard sequence for over 4 minutes. I figured the best thing to do was to cut the power as it would not shut off. When I turned it back on Two of the four letters in the word KORG were blue blocks and that’s what most of the graphics are. Photos won’t upload . I wrote to Korg and send a video and photos. I tried a factory reset and it was the same. I tried to redo the update twice on my Mac and once on my husband’s windows computer. All with the same result.
Anyone have any ideas ? I bought it from Musician’s friend and they have been great to work with so I also wrote to my rep. I’m just frustrated and bummed
I have no choice but to wait for Korg to respond and my rep.
Since it’s 11 months old I hope they do right by me.

For the sake of completeness, based on comments on the gearspace forum, it would appear that this issue has been resolved by the user, who wrote:

"I had to redo the update BUT I had to do it from Function 4 button instead of function 3 which is the regular way you update
I can’t beleive it worked."

****^yes thank you. This problem has been resolved by re installing the update using a different function button while turning it on.

But

Now while using it on battery power it has frozen 3 times in 15 minutes.

Doesn’t seem to happen on mains

Is this related to original issues ?
Anything to worry about ?
