haha. well admittedly, im gonna have to ask you guys the age old question: would you rather pay 4000 dollars for a superb 16 timbral monster that exists outside of your computer, or a 4000 dollar piece of **** for your computer?

I would pay 4000 dollars for a kronos, which is a computer with 9 "pieces of ****". I would buy the waldorf Largo, or the gforce mtron pro, for example. It doesn't matter if its only software or not. If it's good, if it sounds good, then I don't care.

Some people just don't like the A6; I would take a Waldorf Wave over it myself (I wouldn't mind having an Andy though).

I completely agree (I would die for a blofeld and I don't really like the andromeda)

Seriously, a $4000 synth exists for only one real purpose, that is to make money by playing on stage night after night. All of those devices are built for a life on the road. Sure they sound excellent, but they are built to be moved from place to place on a regular basis and used constantly.

Of course, they could be purchased by someone who has no other use for it but to play it in their living room, but that would be a musician with money to spend on a very expensive luxury. Personally, I do not know a musician in that position. Anyway, that's just my opinion.

not really, some people use them mainly in their studio and rarely bring it with them, its much like a modular for example, which is generally very heavy and expensive. So it doesnt really matter.

This one is priceless, i have a buyer in New York who'll pay $4000 for posts of this quality. Forums around the world are fighting nail and tooth to secure Morshu material. I already own two Morshu originals

I'm givin honest info, although a little high brow, it is good info. Dont hate.

btw- the sample may be a little quiet so turn up your volume, because i was recording via my tv, which is on an absurdly high volume and i accidently recorded it super quiet because of that..

I got my start using a Novation X-Station 64. I don't have any other synths to compare it to but I felt it was a great entry into learning synths. So many knobs and sliders you can quickly create some complex sounds. the connectivity options were also great I'm looking to get something newer though.
