I can see the images, but I'm afraid they don't tell me anything.
Without the Model number of the motherboard used, I would only be guessing the Port is under that flexable static / heat Shield.

Everything I read looks perfect except for one new unknown.

3D V-NAND is Samsung’s layered memory.

Everything else in the spec says that this drive will work perfectly in the KRONOS and it would allow the SATA controller in the KRONOS to run as fast as it can.

3D V-NAND however is new, and I don't know of anyone who as used a drive with this kind of memory chip on board. Technically speaking it shouldn't make any difference at all as the drive itself deals with that end of the communication between the interface and the chips. It's just that we haven't seen anyone try install a drive like that before.

The silicon in 3D V-NAND chips are layered, vs traditional chips only having a single layer. This means Samsung can offer more capacity on a chip at better prices, reduce heat and also power consumption.

In short it should work perfectly fine, but with this drive there a new unknown. I've no clue whatsoever if the KRONOS will even care either way what kind of chips the drive has or if it even matters as I've never owned or seen anyone install one of these layered silicon drives in a PC let alone a KRONOS.

My 2 cents, go with something else. I don't think I'd take a chance on this one unless you had use for the drive in your PC if the KRONOS rejects it.

Hey Sharp, I have followed every steps but the installation of SSD failed, the Kronos couldn't detect it. I had the right cable but I suspect that the SSD that I purchased isn't compatible. Do u know if it works? It's a KINGSTON SSDNow UV400 120GB drive.

Did you remember to connect the power cable? I've installed a Kingston SSDNow 300V 120Gb and that works fine.

Do you have a PC/Mac you can plug it into for testing?

I don't get the power cable part mate. Isn't it supposed to be a install & format procedure? Yeah but the model that I purchased is slightly different so I wonder does that make a different. What do u mean by testing? Sorry mate, please bear with my dumbness on this

You need a power cable and a SATA cable.

Take another look at Sharp's video (one minute in). The drive needs power to work - There is a second power connector on the cable to the Kronos' preinstalled SSD (it's tucked away under the drive cage).

Just connect this to your SSD along with the SATA cable and everything should be ok.
