Here is the list of parts for that second, smaller circuit:

C1, C2 - 68 uf, 25 V Tantalum Capacitor
R1, R2 - 10 Ohm, 5 Watt Resistor
R3, R4 - 180 Ohm, 1 Watt Resistor
D1, D2 - HEP 154 Silicon Diode
Q1, Q2 - 2N3055 NPN Transistor
T1 - 24V, Center Tapped Transformer
MISC - Wire, Case, Receptical (For Output)

This is from this site here:

http://www.aaroncake.net/circuits/inverter.asp

This list is for a 12V DC to 120V AC circuit. It uses a 12V to 120V AC output transformer.

The transformer we would use in its place is a 12V to 9V AC transformer.

Unfortunately, I have looked everywhere and not found one anywhere commercially - they don't seem to make them for that voltage arrangement. They seem to be a custom job.

However, this place makes custom power supplies:

http://www.powerstream.com/inv-12dc-24vac.htm

They have a 12V DC to 24V AC in stock, but they mention that they can make custom voltage requirements if needed. They must wind their own transformers to suit the orders. So I reckon these guys are the way to go, if the price is OK. And it's already built!!

Cheers, Graham
