Own both the Electribe Sampler and Volca Sample?

the volca sample is really good. You can design loops far faster then the electribe. Then you can resample on the ES2 then add further depth.

I like using both together on jams.

Can the Es2 do granular stuff to samples like the Volca Sample? On my Volca I tweak Sample Start and Sample Length (sometimes along with Amp Decay) to mangle things. The Es2 manual says about sample start point:
If a sample has been selected as the Oscillator, this knob (Osc Edit) can be
used to adjust the playback start point and to change the playback
direction.
Okay, clear enough. However, there are no sample length knobs. Does the next passage from the manual indicate that Amp/EG Decay/Release knob can be used to granularize the sample? (If, as it says, the Amp EG is off?)

If a sample has been selected as the Oscillator, this knob can be
used to adjust the Gate Time—if the Amp EG is off.
If this knob is set to a value of 127, the sample plays to its end
regardless of the sample length.
