Dear friends, regarding this "Maybe a silly question" about the RAM without Expansion board, i would like to ask another question of this type (sorry to bother anyone): How exactly to install these RAM Sticks on my TR and what kind of RAM Sticks would you recommend?
BTW I'm interested in this topic because of the the organ ksc files in the download area - has anyone tried them out already?
TIA :)

The RAM slots can be installed opening the little back cover (the big one is for the sampling card) with a screwdriver.
Then you insert each memory RAM carefully. You need to place 45° and then rotate till there is a click.

Many thanks argentique!!!
Since I'm really to this any details will be welcomed! What kind of RAM would you use, would it be automatically recognized - and how - as bank E or it is for expansion board only....any info on this topic - i would love it. Thanks mates! :)

put RAM 32MB EDO sample on google. I bought two modules from OEMPCWorld and they work perfectly with the TR.

The RAM is autodetected and this will displayed in the boot screen.
I use this RAM for loading samples, other things we can do, I don't know.

Nice info.

I read a thread once on here where someone discovered they could use much higher capacity SD cards then thought possible. Anyone know what I am talking about?

I'm curious. The piano on the TR is sampled, isn't it? If so, it must have some sampling memory already. Couldn't this memory be cleared temporarily of the piano samples for a different sample?

nope
all the internal instruments use samples written in fast sample ROM - that's Read-Only Memory

And every time you turn off your Korg you will have to reload the samples from your SD card.

Kinda a design flaw IMO but it could be worse.
