if this is really your opinion why do not you sell it? The longer you wait the less money you will receive.
I do not have the money available at the moment as otherwise I would be interested. OASYS to me is the best purchase I ever made. It took me some time to realise that but I am happy that I did.
Somehow I am getting the impression that new engines are a hope to get just new factory sounds. There is nothing wrong about it.. it is just that this kind of hunger never will be satisfied as long as one does not start to program and play around himself.
What makes you think that OASYS is a waste of money? Is it the sound quality or is it for example that there are not enough synth engines? it was mentioned several times here, sampling (hd1), vector synthesis, wave sequencing, virtual analogs like al-1, ms-20, polysix, string model str-1, fm (mod-7) with access to thousands of sounds. Aren't these enough tools to get nice results already? To add something valuable to your music.. your "signature"? Not to forget 3rd party like Stephen & Eric, Sharp and KARO. Or what is it what you are missing? Is it that other Korg instruments got recently more attention?
No doubt there are some things I would like to see improved and I know that I have contributed to the wishlist some time ago as well. But not getting these tools does not mean that OASYS is not an excellent instrument already. To me it is, definitely the best instrument I ever bought.
