I am really concerned about your "SET". Have you tried loading it on another PA2XPro? I think you need to do that to at least determine whether it is something within your SET.

hi asena...
last time i have a problem, but now everything is okay. I dont know what they (dealer) do to my KB.

I have been watching your EMO problem in alot titel you post.
i think maybe this problem is seldoms haven. but its serious problem. How about your guaranted still have ?
and i think for the finish is maybe just give your KB to a dealer and ask them for service it. and if they cant do, you can barter with a new PA 2X for several $.

KARMA, HI, YEs i tested it on a pa 800, and on another pa2x, YES it,s working for sure, on my pa2x it,s working also, but not evry time it loads 100%!

Some times it says COPY PROTECTED DATA FIND, PLS insert USB pen , CANCEL/RETRY!
device generic error, or something about FORMAT!Unknown!

Hi Aesena,

Have you tried a difernt USb pen drive device? Arre you sure the one you are using is not faulty if you use it in another Pa2x/Pa800?

Hi Aesena,

Try the below link to download a USB formatting utility. My kingston flash drive had the following symptoms:
- Could read data
- Couldn't write/format ("write-protection error")

(named "HT203 Handy Steno 2.0 Repair Tool" - or XXXX Repair Tool, for the software is model/manufacturer independent.)

Be careful to have only the flash drive you need to repair connected to your computer, as the software is quite 'interfaceless', and doesn't even allow you to choose which drive you want to format - seems to me it assumes the first removable drive available.

Please i bought korgpa2x pro just 2 weeks ago and my USB is working fine on that. I had this problem on my laptop.

But i dont think, it,s so god idea, I will not do that!Couse it,s a USB from EMO , and there is a set on it(PROTECTED) by a Crypt program, So i think its better to look after EMO for help, He will, help, i see him soon, But i tested the USB on Other PA2x, s and its working, Only the original OS plus res 2.1 is working on my pa2x, The other set, s whit sample files not loadin correctly, So i hope the sollution comes from KORG!

Hi Asena,

Could you provide details of "the other set with sample files" that is not loading correctly? Where did this set come from? How are you loading it? Have you tried loading it on someone else's Pa2x and did it load correctly?

Hi Asena

Yes there is a diagnostics mode for the PA2Xpro HOWEVER - a forum member did this a while ago (on PA2XPro) and rendered the keyboard useless - had to take it back to Korg - THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS ON THE PA2XPRO - (unlike the PA1XPro).

I don't know the key sequence to get into diagnostics on the PA2Xpro (and I am glad I don't

- it can be tempting to "mess around" when you have a problem)

What we need to do is find out from Korg if it is possible to wreck the keyboard in the manner you are describing (ie. with the USB drive issue etc..). I would have hoped that a full factory reset and OS re-download and installation would clear the beast out completely.

Get a letter to Korg (not your local guys) and ask if they can confirm that this type of corruption is possible. I wish you luck my friend and empathise with your frustrations.....

(Is it just the one SET that causes the problem or does this apply to any SET with sample sounds?)

,I maded a set whit great ELECTRO house loops on Oriental Styles, So in that set, I imported loop files , Befor that evrything worked, After so many sample loops and sounds , It died, Untill you Turn of al was fine , When loaded, Did not load samples correct.
So , I tested another set, That uses the emo Samples Fr USB EMO, Same thing , Some times , THIS IS NOT PA FILE, Sometimes Generic error, Some times, Some copy protected files found PLS insert USB that Con .......'

This is the SET file/ USB device that I think is causing the problems. Forgive me for asking the same question again, but have you tried loading that ELECTRO SET file on a different Pa2x? Also, what device are you using to load it from? Is it a different USB device and if so could that USB drive be faulty? Have you tried copying the SET file to Hard Disk (HD) via the USB host connection? Immediately after reloading the OS, have you tried loading the ELECTRO SET file from HD instead of from USB?

Give me a wave when you fly over Corfu

I think Greek coffee is also like Turkish coffee. They do seem to add asphalt to the coffee to make it stick to your teeth better
