Actually, the web site has recently been updated with the new instruments designed in Korg Italy (including the SV-1 and the new Pa500 models). Admittedly, everything else has slowed down a bit, but we'll catch up soon.
Best regards,

What is 'soon'?
I don't mean to be rude, but it's been almost half a year ago and still no new content...

Yep it is a bit puzzling eh? I wrote to Paolo a while ago and he has not yet read my message. I am wondering if he is still around

(I hope so)
Anyhow, whilst I respect that he is under no obligation to communicate here, it would be nice to hear that at least Korg is still moving forward in the "Arranger" arena.
Cheers

It's no big deal; I'm pleased with all the cool stuff that's around & with my PA.
But I think it's better not to make postings, mention dates and/or a flag 'NEW' on the PA-website, if actually NO new content is published for more than a year.
The same goes for the operating system for PA500.
In the brochure and manual it says: 'don't let your instrument get outdated'.
Well, for PA500 the new features in the past one and a half year were as numberous as ZERO.
IMHO it's better to lower the expactations and then exceed them, than the other way around.

Yes but the PA500 IS NEW! New is considered even after 5 years if nothing
else comes after that, thats why the PA500 is still considered as new and will
stay so till a new release of a new machine or major OS.

Yes good point - it's always about the "expectations". I think we are all puzzled by the "slience". Korg may not have said a lot over the years but there was always a message here and there from them and always some useful words. Paolo has been an excellent communicator with us especially as he is under no obligation to be so.
There is a saying that "Silence os Golden" - let's hope that is the case and that all the Italian Korg team are OK and progressing with our Korg PKApro series (Professional Karma Arranger)
Cheers

I didn't mean the instrument, but
content & Korg's poorish way of communicating about that.

Contrary to the marketing-saying: "Be good and tell it."
Korg's makes its own version of this, (again, when it comes to content).
"Deliver none and tell constantly there's NEW stuff (to come)."
Or something like that.
I rest my case.

We at Korg Italy are constantly monitoring the forums (lot of great ideas, here), but partecipating very little. The new projects are really causing an overwhelming amount of work. Social life of any kind is the first victim.
Best regards,

nothing new... nothing exciting... shame

IMHO Korg is very busy in producing the next TOTL Arranger for us and I think to be released by the end of the year. The reason I say that is the competition ie Yamaha are said to be releasing a new T4 by November time this year. Remember the Survey last year, that was to give Korg ideas as to what we all want from the keyboard. I can't honestly see us getting an OS upgrade for pa2x as development work and hopefully some of those idea's will be channelled through to the new Model pa3x?....We'll have to wait and see and this is purely my opinion of course....

Really, where?
I bothered to create this list
http://www.korgforums.com/forum/phpBB2/ ... hp?t=49997
Hopefully at least these would be in a PA3X.

Patience my friend. Korg will want to create as bug free an OS as they can before announcing a new keyboard. I for one think that's the best way forward and would rather wait another year or more to have that. We certainly don't want a bug ridden keyboard that needs constant updates to put it right.

i don't see why producing a new arranger keyboard should stop korg from keep updating the "old" arranger, developing software, adding new free\non free sounds\styles...i just recently bought the PA2x and it is still one of the best selling arrangers here,it is so popular that many people are still buying it;in fact;each month dozens of PA2x's are sold here i'm sure that all the new customers would want to know that their "new" arranger is obsolete and there is no further support for it...i'm sorry but if the next OS will be a $4000 arranger then it's an outrageous move by korg

Hi Seq. Korg is a Business and stays in business because it makes profit. The day it stops doing that it ceases to exist therefore no more keyboards. I doubt that they have unlimited resources to keep on updating and developing existing keyboards. The pa2x is a fine keyboard just as the pa1x was and still is. If we buy a new car does the manufacturer keep on updating that vehicle for free for us untill it's next new Model a few years down the road? Definitely not! Everything has to move on and generally speaking these things happen on a three year cycle. What you say is exactly what the Yamaha users are saying about the coming Tyros4 and T3'S only been out since Nov2008. Perhaps a new OS will come for pa2x but it's certain that a new korg TOTL keyboard is being developed even now. It's a never ending cycle that must go on for any type of Manufacturer. They have to move on with development to keep up with the competition. Buy a pc and it's out of date in less than a year. Is that a fair thing to do to a consumer? I'm afraid we have to live with it and as I said earlier it's purely my opinion

Totally agree Keith - I tried this analogy a long while ago but still some people think they are "owed" this ongoing free new stuff - I don't understand it - never will. You are right - we are in an age of computing from PCs to washing machines to keyboards - all very quickly outdated. iPad is the next "beginning" - won't be long before we see an "iPad" flip up on the top of our keyboards - nice thought!!!
Cheers

just to remind you guys...PA3x or whatever it will be still doesn't exist which means that the latest model is still the PA2x and therefor should be supported and updated and so must be even after a new model(if...) will exist, this is not a car and not a computer it is an abandoned $4000 workstation that still sells as a "new model", from what you say the fact that stores are still selling it as it was the "latest new model" is a fraud
but hey...they must get rid of all the stock before the end of the year right?!
i'm sorry i'm not convinced!!!
