You cant compare those to the ones for PA2X, the ones for PA2X actually
changed the whole synth and turned it into something else...the ones for M3
did nothing, fixed bugs only and one time the Extended free sounds, nothing
else. 2 of the PA2X upgrades were as big as Yamaha would actually create a
new synth for it and sell it...Korg gave it to us for free on the PA2X, 2 times, FREE!
Never ever there was an update for any synth as the Major updates for the PA2X/800.

That's why the SV1 vintage stage paino sounds so good, it's the
PA2xPro synth engine inside with all his 16 oscillators...

#5 Since the Assignable switches have been cut back to 2, in the OPTIONS there should be one where it MUTES the Drums & Percussions Tracks both together, rather than just separately, so that the Acc1-5 Can be assigned to the other switch.

Tyros 3 has an undocumented command that lets you turn off the rhythm simply by holding down three adjacent keys. Very handy!!

Just a few more that came to my head....
#6 Being able to Lock STS throughout changing styles...
#7 If you want to Clear All Samples from Memory then its all Good we have this option in the Sound Edit Mode. But there isn't an option to DELETE all Sounds & Performances, Styles, Pads in one go from SSD. So you end up Deleting One by One from the SSD memory, each style bank... performance bank..pads bank etc...
Rather than being able to enter the folder and doing this one by one, it would be nice to be able to delete the whole folder!
#8 Also it would be handy to show/display the name of the .SET you currently have loaded in the prefs somewhere... I'm currently testing a few SETs and a few times I forgot which one i currently had loaded, then it seemed i loaded the same Set twice..
#9 Since the PA1X OS 3.0 or 3.01 upgrade i believe it was, the FONT has become BOLD throughout the whole text, everywhere. I personally hated this. Would be nice in the Global Prefs to have an option which could Embolden or normalize the FONT. If that's not possible then, surely there could be Text Wrap on 2 lines instead of one. Currently everything fits only in 1 line, whereas there is enough space for names to become longer and fit on to 2 lines if Wrapping was possible.
More to follow.. soon...
Could this thread be made in to a STICKY so that if a KORG official visits the Forums it can be easily viewed, rather than this post dying behind all the new posts?

There are at least another 10 topics like this one, so if someone cares to extract the "wishlists" and "change requests" into a legible list, I will make it a sticky and alert Korg of its existence - remember Korg are under no obligation to even read this forum - we are lucky that they do take an interest in us.
Cheers

Hi Pete,
I've finally put together a new post with a list of features from other posts as well. I've combined my ideas and those from other entries in to a single Post,
here.
Could please make it a Sticky and alert any KORG official/Staff to have a look?
Thanks

Make each day a new entry. Then it will ever on the first position.

I have two requests:
1: as it is a DUAL Mp3 card, I would like to be able to record vocals at the same time as recording an mp3. To explain further, whilst playing an mp3 backing, be able to not only record that mp3, but record the vocal as well, using vocal processing.
2: Longer songbook name space. I think this would be especially helpful if a user has three versions on one song, as in, a style version, a midi version and an mp3 version. With more name space it would be easier to add an identifier to each entry, without having to shorten the song name using cryptic "sms text" abbreviations. There is barely enough space foe even JUST the song name now, unless its a one word title
Oh and 3. allow the PA to "read" more than just text files. How about increasing it to at least RTF? (Rich Text File)

Are you forgetting the Xpanded update? It added a lot more than just new sounds or rearranging the samples or adding the EX-USB libraries. It also changed a lot of the internal features, improving the sequencer in many ways for example.

Xtrade can we try to avoid hijacking this thread please

I apologise. I was merely replying to something which appeared to be misinformative....
Now, hijacking would be if I were to jump in with some completely off topic question.

Hey Xtrade, no need to apologise
I did not mean it in a nasty way
Just trying to keep this thread "clean"...who knows maybe Korg ARE actually watching and reading it
